The cat became extremely popular in Japan during the Heian period (794-1185) among the nobility, especially the emperor.

This work depicts cats wearing hakama in a typical Japanese landscape, playing a musical instrument called biwa, and dancing while holding a fan with the Japanese flag painted on it.

The material is 100% rayon satin fabric on both the front and back sides.
The ribs on the collar, cuffs, and hem are made of a wool/acrylic blend.

The color of the body is black.
